Where Are The Organic Visits In My Affiliate Website ?

Where Are The Organic Visits In My Affiliate Website? Yes i will repeat this questions as many times as needed to understand that organic traffic; traffic from search results – is crucial for success.

When you put in good effort, you’re supposed to reap good results, right?

So, after you’ve established your affiliate website, applied your strategic marketing plan, and adopted search engine optimization techniques. Covering social media platforms, backlinking, and keyword optimization on content creation… Why aren’t you reaping results after three months of repeated and conscientious effort?

You now start to wonder, where are the organic visits in my affiliate website?

Two things you need to be concerned when driving organic traffic into your affiliate website: competition and right keyword usage.

Check Out The Competition to find out Where Are The Organic Visits In My Affiliate Website?

Let me ask you this, ‘Are you appearing on the initial page of search engines?’

If not, which is most likely if you’re not getting any serious visits. Then this may be one of the reasons.

Did you know that more than 90 percent of the organic traffic are channeled to websites that are ranked on the initial pages of search engines?

Chitika conducted this research http://info.chitika.com/uploads/4/9/2/1/49215843/chitikainsights-valueofgoogleresultspositioning.pdf, proving that majority of Google’s search traffic goes to its top three-ranked sites. This means that, if your website’s not getting any of these voluminous organic visits; it isn’t doing so well on search engine ranking.

What should you do then? Check out your well-ranked competition. Duh.

Here are some of the aspects that you should research about these successful sites:

1.    Web Content is crucial to prevent problem called Where Are The Organic Visits In My Affiliate Website?

Visit those top sites and find out the kind of content that they are producing. Ask yourself the following questions.

How long are their blogs or articles? What subject matters are being taken up? How do they approach these topics? Find out what they are publishing that you’re not.

I know this is analytical work and takes patience to do, but this is how you determine how to best them. Know why they succeeded where you didn’t and do better.

Another thing that you’ll need to find out, as well, is the frequency of keyword usage vis-à-vis content.

Are you adopting this keyword density in your content?

2.    Website Design and Structure

Another critical aspect that you need to find out about the competition is their website design and structure.

How mobile-friendly is their website vis-à-vis yours?

What particular website design are they adopting?

3.    Backlink and Social Signal Metrics

Some of the things that you can learn from successful websites are their use or non-use of backlinks, social media performance, and impact.

These include social media following in Twitter, and shares in Facebook. Also, determine their niche credibility and authority, page impact, and so on. Do some off-page analytics.

Of course, you cannot expect your affiliate website to de-rank the more successful and best-performing websites overnight.

Like all legitimate ventures, all efforts take time to bear fruit, and so will your affiliate marketing experience and knowledge grow. The more time you invest in learning and improving your skills and your site, the faster you will see results.

Also, with regard to besting the competition, do note that when you conduct competitive analysis, be realistic about your expectations.

I’m not saying that you should not aspire to be the best in your niche.

All I’m saying is if you’re competing against nike.com with your bestrunningshoes.com website, do not wonder why you’re not getting any large number of visits after three months of blood-sweat-and-tears promotion. It is because it may take you a long time to get to the level of this type of competition; that hire global skilled writers just to churn out SEO-optimized and professional content.

So, if you want to see results soon, you may need be more specialized with your niche; and target a less broad market. This is actually one of the techniques to get your newbie website to rank better: choose a targeted niche.

Of course, it would do you well to pick up lessons from these related successful websites and conduct your own SEO audit.

Ask what you’re not doing that they are succeeding in. This way, you can adapt more competitively.

Another aspect that you should be concerned with besting your competition is using the right keywords.

Use The Right Keywords to prevent problem Where Are The Organic Visits In My Affiliate Website?

In search engine optimization, it’s all about using the right keywords, and keyword research is key.

Why? Online users type in keywords to conduct organic searches, and if you are not using these popularly used keywords, then you won’t be ranked.

There are tools that help you find out the right keywords to use with regard to your niche. One of which is SEMRush which you’ll need to pay for.

Since you’re a newbie and you’ve not yet converted any traffic yet, you may consider using free keyword research tools; such as Google Keyword Planner https://adwords.google.com/KeywordPlanner

These tools will provide you with information about the kind of keywords that most online users type in and also some analytics about your competition.

Unless you have already built relevancy and authority in your niche such as having a huge volume of shares and clicks, which is unlikely for a months-old website, you’ll derive better traffic results by using more specific and less competitive keywords.

In fact, choosing the right keywords is critical at this point in your affiliate website life, and by right keyword, I refer to those that are low-competition.

Your job, then, is to determine those market segments where there is less competition and taking top place there with the techniques you’ve learned in your research.

Some SEO experts may not completely agree with this approach and insist that you should at least use keywords that have already generated traffic track.

In my opinion, I think it may be a bit too lofty to target at this stage in your journey. I’m more realistic and believe in using low-competition keywords, find out if my site can rank, and if it can, I will take off from that point.

Once you are able to determine these potential-opportunity spots, you can start to build from there and start to adopt more traffic-building keywords, while also, establishing authority and credibility in that narrow niche.

If, however, you do not get any organic results despite your using of low-competition keywords, you may want to double check errors in grammar, spelling, and typing. You could also go back and read through your content and see if you have unmindfully used keywords that are high in competition.

You may be surprised but sometimes these mistypes or slight errors mean a world of difference in terms of generating better SEO results.

Give It Some Time before you can say Where Are The Organic Visits In My Affiliate Website?

Let’s just say that you have all applied the techniques and strategies you’ve studied and read about, and still, just a trickle of organic traffic.

Give it some time. It’s been only a few months really!

In my own experience, I was also just beginning to see results from sleepless nights of keyboard-typing and research in three months, and these were just so few I could count them easily.

Usually; the gestation period for young affiliate websites is three to six months, and that is if these sites started on the right foot, meaning they’ve done the basics right and invested time and effort populating their sites with optimized and high-quality content.

This is my way of saying that if you did as you ought to do, and continue to do so, then it’s just a matter of time before you see all your efforts come to fruition.

I’ve been in that situation and I know the anxiety and frustration wrought by this waiting period. It also does take its toll on your self-esteem.

Do not give up just yet. If you get visits, no matter how small, then there’s opportunity. So, while you wait, do not stop improving your website.

I’d like to compare affiliate marketing with farming. You plant and ensure that your land is conducive for your plants to grow. You do not know when it’ll do so but you can guess based on experience. If there are no growth, you do not just wait but keep watering it until the shoots spring up.

With affiliate marketing, you need to water your site with optimized content, grow it by adding more valuable content.

Search engines’ algorithm base its ranking on the volume and quality of content or data. Are you populating your site with these?

When you’re just growing your affiliate site, you need to create content volume in order to send a signal to these search engines that you have value and loads of it to offer to the users.

Tips On How To Get Your Site To Rank

So, you’ve already set up your affiliate website and gone live. Before you keep publishing your content, I’ve round up some of the following tips on how to get your site to rank.

They’re just basics, but often; in the mad scramble to do everything right, it’s the most essential things that are mostly neglected.

When we get to content creation, we become so intent in this task that these aspects in website building and ranking are often forgotten; and sometimes, they are the reasons why you’re not getting maximum results out of your efforts.

1.    Sitemap

Do not forget to have a sitemap or a list of all your site’s webpage URLs.

This list will assist Google or other search engines to find your pages faster.

Usually, sitemaps contain information such as the date and time of publication and other similar data.

Some sites that use WordPress as their content management system have plugins installed to do this. These plugins are Google XML Sitemaps https://wordpress.org/plugins/google-sitemap-generator/ or Yoast SEO https://en-ca.wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-seo/

2.    Social Profiles

I bet most of you forgot to activate your social profiles when you were starting out. Do it!

Being active in your social media profiles is one of the ways to communicate to Google and other search engines that you have fresh content.

There’s no need to create a whole new article every time just to stay active. You can simply like or share on Twitter, Pinterest, and Facebook, which is enough to draw the bots’ attention to your site.

3.    Search Console & Tools

Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools are some of the online devices that can help boost your ranking.

Although these tools are not necessarily must-haves for this purpose, they do poke those search engines to see that your domain is activated and that you have published content to offer to your niche.

4.    Backlinking

This is fourth on my list because backlinking from comments on a popular blog is considered as by most as one of the things that newbies do to get ranked; and therefore, not the best way to establish authority.

On the flip side, though, backlinking is still another way to broadcast to search engines that you have new content for them to assess.

Since you still need to get ranked and do not have the traction in your niche, being linked with a highly successful site ensures that search engines can find your site and published articles.

This goes without saying that you must have your own internal link mapping as well, and a more effective one.

So all of your content are well connected such that search engine crawlers can easily go through your articles and determine what niche you are specifically talking to.

Final Tip

If, you say, you’ve applied everything you know and learned, and still nada. Do find out if your website has been penalized for breaking any search engine rules.

One such example is acting like those online scams. You may have overdone buying links or lifting off content from another without proper consent or acknowledgment.

You’ll know, though, if you’ve been penalized against Google’s search engine guidelines, because it will inform you of this penalty.

Again, after you’ve applied all these techniques I’ve taught you, give it some time, but do your part while you wait…Continue to improve your content creation skills and keyword optimization knowledge and you’ll soon see improvements and avoid Where Are The Organic Visits In My Affiliate Website?
